In view of the leadership given by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in making India play a prominent role in the peace-keeping operations of the United Nations and other concerts of nations, the commemorative stamp issued on the seventy-fifth birth anniversary of Pandit Nehru (14th November 1964) was overprinted with the inscription 'ICC' for use at the Indian post offices in Indo-China. The stamp was put on sale on the Army Day (15th January) of 1965.
