India Post had provided the facility to put a Baseline Message at the bottom of the Computer generated receipts of Speed Post, Registered Letter, Money Order etc during the period of 2000 to 2014. Such Baseline Messages were to be drafted within 30 letters including space in between the words. They could narrate about any significant event or achievements, Postal Services or occasions, Birthdays, Centenaries or Anniversaries, greetings about festivals or some pithy slogans for creating social awareness.

It is noteworthy that some philatelists have got prepared such Baseline Slips with Gandhi Slogans.

This is a very interesting landmark in the history of India Post as the slip shows appropriate postage and usage dates  on the slips along with such creative messages.
