During the 21 months Emergency period, Smt. Indira Gandhi devised and declared a '20-point' economic program to increase agricultural and industrial production, improve public services and fight poverty and illiteracy. To create awareness of the intentions of Emergency amongst  the people and to educate them regarding their duties, Indian postal Department did stamped mails with educating slogans of 20 point program.
