(1) 3 ½ Anna stamp of Bodh Gaya Temple in blue was withdrawn and same design stamp of Bodh Gaya Temple with 2 ½ Anna value in lake was issued on 30-4-1951. This Second supplementary issue became necessary, when foreign Postal rates were increased for surface route from 1st December 1950. The rate for Post Cards was increased from 2 Anna to 2½ Anna and for Letters 3½ Anna to 4 Anna.

(2) 4 Anna stamp of Bhuvaneshwar Temple in lake was also reissued in blue on 30-4-1951. This became necessary  because the convention of Universal Postal Union says that stamps showing Sea Mail Postage should be in blue color.

As both these stamps were reissued on 30-04-1951, we find FDC of these postage stamps with cancellation of 30-04-1951.
