In 1934 Indira and her mother Kamala Nehru moved to Belur Math headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission where Swami Ranganathananda was her guardian later she went on to study at the Visva-Bharati University in Shantiniketan. It was during her interview that Rabindranath Tagore named her Priyadarshini, but in later year Tagore asked her father Nehru - then prime minister of India - to take her away from his abode of peace university Shantiniketan. Tagore said Indra Gandhi was too much of a burden - an un-peace - with her lifestyle and lack of studies. But many years later she and her son Rajiv Gandhi became the Chancellors, Viswa-Bharati.
